General Information
This beautifully renovated old Melville House has kept the original wooden floors and pressed ceilings, but has also given the interior a new sleek modern look. The furniture and interior design has a clean cut line to it with afro chic undertones.
Your stay here will be warm and hassle free and you will get a chance to enjoy the African sun while resting by the pool, or catching up on some work on the ever welcoming patio.
Facilities
6 Double Neo Classic rooms with a definite minimal/ethnic flavour all with own bathrooms, plenty of cupboard space and with maid service every morning to clean your room. The rooms boast pure cotton linen, gowns, bath and pool towels as well as toiletries, and hairdryers. TV’s with DSTV satellite, ceiling fans and gas heaters in each room. 2 Self-catering and self-contained units, each unit has a fully equipped kitchen.

Pool:
Black heated pool, which can be enjoyed anytime of the year, which is surrounded by beautifully manicured gardens which can be enjoyed from either the deck chairs next to the pool or the very welcoming and open plan patio.
Bed and Breakfast:
Breakfast is included with a choice from a full farm house breakfast, to a healthier option of muesli, yoghurt and fruit salad. You can have your eggs done anyway you like from boiled to omelet with your choice of filling, or start the day with your choice of cereal.
Dinners:
Every morning you will be informed what will be cooked for dinner and it`s up to you to decide by 12:00 whether you would be eating dinner with us or not. We have a dinner party or braai/ BBQ every Saturday night which we would love you to be part of.
Access to a gym:
The Melville Spin and Fitness Studio has 8 spinning classes a day, Yoga, Pilates Tie Bow as well a full Cardio section super circuit and free weights. There is also a steam room in each bathroom. The gym is within walking distance to the house.
We offer full access to the gym`s facilities during your stay with us.

From Sandton:
From Sandton City you take Oxford to Rosebank, turn right at the McDonald`s you will pass three traffic lights until you get to a S-bend junction you must turn right and then an immediate left onto a road that runs parallel to a golf course. Follow this road until the end of the golf course; you will get to a traffic light turn right over a bridge.
Go through the next traffic light and the very next road to your right is 6th Avenue, follow that road until you get to number 21. We are 21 6th Avenue Melville.
From Cresta:
Pass Cresta on your left on Beyers Naude on your way to Melville, pass North Cliff Corner Shopping Center on your right, keep going past West Park Cemetery on your right and the Botanical Gardens on your left. Going up the hill into Melville just passed the RAU sports grounds you turn left into 6th Avenue just over the rise and over the turning circle we are on your left Number 21 6th Avenue.
From OR Tambo Airport:
Take the Johannesburg Road and at Galoolys interchange you take the Durban / Alberton road then turn right on your way to Sandton and Pretoria follow that road until you get to the Empire Road turn off turn right into Empire Road, follow Empire Road until you get to a T-junction turn right into Kingsway at the third set of traffic lights turn into University Street pass McDonald`s on your left keep on University Street which becomes Main Street.
