Blue Crane Lodge

General Information

Situated in North Riding, with tranquil gardens and ample birdlife, it is the ideal location for tourists and business people alike. The lodge is close to numerous restaurants, shopping centres, business parks and tourist attractions.

Enjoy a sundowner by the pool, or on your own private patio, before exploring the ample restaurants and night life in the area. We take pleasure in ensuring that your stay is a comfortable one.

Facilities
All our "en-suite" double rooms have individual outside entrances and are tastefully decorated with original paintings by Artist, Debbie Joy.

The rooms are all equipped with fans, electric radiators, TV`s, kettles and hair dryers for your comfort. Blue Crane Lodge is also equipped with wireless internet and DSTV.

Conference Facilities
Our conferencing facilities can accommodate 30 to 40 delegates and is fully equipped.

Transfers and Day Tours
Airport transfers and day tours can be arranged on request.

Things to do in the area
Monte Casino
Monte Casino is an indoor Tuscan styled village consisting of many restaurants and an upmarket casino. Plenty to do for all ages such as movies, childrens entertainment area, baby sitting facility and a fascinating bird park. There is safe parking and walkways to explore the exclusive shopping that Monte Casino offers. Well worth a visit to this exclusive Italian styled emporium.

Lion Park
More than 100 lions can be found in the park with the rare White Lion being the main attraction. The animals are viewed from vehicles providing excellent photographic opportunities. Large African carnivore species are found, including hyenas, cheetahs and wild dogs. The Park`s herbivores include Black Wildebeest, Springbok, Blesbok, Gemsbok, Red Hartebeest, Zebra and Giraffe.

Cradle of Humankind
The fossil Hominid Sites of Sterkfontein, Zwartkrans, Kromdraai and Environs, known as the Cradle of Humankind was declared a World Heritage Site on December 2nd 1999 in Morocco. The area of 48000 hectares is of outstanding universal value as it contains a complex of palaeo - anthropological sites, which has yielded some of the most valuable evidence, world wide, of the origins of modern humans.

Lesidi Village
Gauteng`s most exciting showcase of African Culture where you can view 4 African villages. You will be introduced to the art, dancing, history and tribal legends of the African people.
