Mabulani Game Farm

General Information

The wind blows off the steeply wooded mountain slopes freshening the valleys far below. Pressed silently against the rough bark of the Acacia tree you watch the fat impala grazing towards you.

With dainty little steps and quick fly chasing shivers they are suddenly all around - moments before a snort of fear has them leaping like a cascading waterfall – you become one with Africa.

Mabulani Game Reserve nestles in the lovely Waterberg Mountains, 50 kilometers from Warmbaths (now named Bela-Bela) and 150km from Pretoria. It is two and a half hours drive from Johannesburg and just over an hour and a half from Pretoria. Mabulani is in a malaria-free area.

Facilities
Mabulani`s unique chalets were designed not to disturb nature and to blend with the environment. With the extensive use of wood, thatch and rock unusual, natural and very private chalets were created.

The accommodation at Mabulani are self-catering chalets complete with kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. Amongst other features of each building is the patio and braai area from where the visitor to the resort is able to enjoy the surrounding bushveld and a view of the rugged, unspoilt Waterberg. Mabulani is in a malaria-free area.

The Bush Lodge, Stone House and Three Bedroom House is ideal for bigger groups while the Mountain Hide Away in the kloof offers accommodation for smaller groups. The Thatch Lodge has five bedrooms and sleeps up to ten.

The Bush Lodge

The Bush Lodge has a unique character and one feels very close to nature in this rustic stone camp. It consists of two similar free standing chalets which sleeps six. Each chalet has two bedrooms, a loft and a bathroom. One room has a double bed and while the other has two single beds.

A third chalet which sleeps five is under the lapa. It has two bedrooms and a bathroom. One room has a double bed while the other has three single beds.The large central kitchen and dining area is situated under the lapa.

The games room has a pool tableThe lodge has electricity and is fully equipped, serviced daily, self-catering.Reservations in the Bush Lodge must be for a minimum of 6 and up to 16 persons.


Mountain Hideaway
Mabulani`s Mountain Hideaway is probably the best kept secret in the Waterberg. It offers complete privacy for nature lovers. Enjoy a carefree stay in the mountain surrounded only by nature and wild life. Enjoy a lovely view while relaxing or explore the unspoilt environment around you on foot, with a mountain bike or horse.

The Mountain Hideaway a single chalet and sleeps 6. The chalet has two bedrooms and a bathroom, kitchen and living room. The bathroom has a shower.One bedroom has a double bed while the other has a single bed and bunk bed with another single bed in the lounge. There is no electricity but gas is provided. There is a gas fridge, cooker and geyser.

The Mountain Hideaway offers complete privacy for those who do not want to be disturbed. Enjoy a carefree stay in the mountain where only nature and wildlife will be your neighbour.

Savannah House
This house is well suited to the larger family as it comfortably sleeps up to eight people. It has three bedrooms, a bathroom, lounge, dining room, kitchen and a very big lapa.

DSTV is available, but please bring your own "Smart-Card".
Lovely terra cotta floor tiles give a lovely atmosphere, The large lapa is well suited to wonderful evenings around a campfire.

The Thatch Lodge
Enjoy the wonderful atmosphere of this lovely thatched house situated in total privacy in a game dense area. This spacious five bedroom house has three bathrooms, a large lounge, dining room and kitchen. The lodge has electricity and is fully equipped, is serviced daily and is self-catering.

Mondays to Thursdays:
Adults: R200 per person per night
Children under 6: free of charge

R1710 per night up to four people, then R342 per additional person. Sleeps maximum 10 people.

Terms and Conditions
Bush Lodge, Mountain Hideaway and Three Bedroom Houses
Key Deposit
A refundable deposit of R200 is required per booking.
This will be returned on departure once the accommodation has been inspected. Any breakages will be deducted from this deposit.

Cancellation and deposit refunds.

90% of deposit will be refunded if reservation is cancelled more than 2 weeks and 50% will be refunded if cancelled less than 2 weeks before booked date of arrival.

Key Deposit
Refundable key deposit of R500 payable in addition to standard deposit of R855.

Directions
Take the N1 to/ from Pietersburg – follow the signs to Warmbaths.
Take the Rooiberg/Thabazimbi Road (R516).
Proceed for 32km and turn right at the Mabula store. (Diepdrift).
Proceed on this gravel road for 8,5 km. Turn left at the 4-way-junction to
Rhenosterkloof and proceed for 9 km.
Turn left at the T-junction to Thabazimbi. Proceed for 2km .
Mabulani entrance on right hand side.

Follow the sign boards to your chalet (first 2 numbers of your reservation no)
