Situated on a smallholding 3 km out of town in Swellendam’s sought after Hermitage valley. It is 2 km from town, 6 minutes’ drive from the Marloth Nature Reserve, 5 minutes’ drive from golf course and only a few hundred yards away from the majestic Langeberg Mountain.

2 bedrooms, one with 2 single beds and one with a king size twin bed which can be arranged as 2 single beds as well.

A fully equipped self catering cottage. All you have to bring is your food and drinks. Meals available on request. Offering 2 bedrooms, one bathroom with shower, toilet and washbasin, living room, open plan kitchen and car port. Covered front stoep facing the mountain. Braai on stoep. The 800 m² lush-green lawn is an open invitation to kids.

Things to do in the area
Centrally situated for outdoor activities like golf, walking, mountaineering, mountain biking, horse riding, canoeing, off-road driving, abseiling and watersport. A small salt water swimming pool is available to guests.

An excellent venue to relax, far away from the daily hustle and bustle.

From the Caledon (N2) side: Past Breede River and industrial area. Take Ashton turn off, immediately after the industrial area. Cross the four way stop at the lower end of the town’s main street. Carry on towards Ashton for about 1 km. Take first turn off to your right to the Hermitage. Then turn left at first road, heading towards the kloof. Turn left at the T junction, towards the kloof. Pass the Swellendam Getaway Adventure Farm (Berry Farm, Braamplaas). Carry on towards the deep canyon in the mountain. Look out for the Swellendam Kloof Holiday Farm sign (entrance N17) on the left hand side of the road. Access to the cottage is through the gate on your left hand side of the grid-gate.

Carry on along the main road, towards the mountain, for the HoopHoe campsite (entrance N19) on the left hand side of the road.

From the Ashton (R60) side: Look out for the big green HERMITAGE sign at about 45 km from Ashton. Turn left. Turn left at the next dirt road, heading towards the kloof. Turn left at a T-junction. Pass the Swellendam Getaway Adventure Farm’(Berry Farm, Braamplaas). Carry on towards the deep canyon in the mountain. Look out for the Swellendam Kloof Holiday Farm sign (entrance N17) on the left hand side of the road. Access to the cottage is through the gate on your left hand side of the grid-gate.

From Mossel Bay (N2) side: Turn off at the first entrance to Swellendam. Drive down the main street. Look out for the ABSA bank on your right hand side and OK store on your left hand side. Turn right at the four way stop (about 100 m past ABSA and opposite the OK.). Follow Andrew White Street out of town, towards the mountain. Pass the water purifying works and golf course on your way towards the prominent kloof. Pass the Swellendam Getaway Adventure Farm (Berry Farm, Braamplaas). Carry on towards the deep canyon in the mountain. Look out for the Swellendam Kloof Holiday Farm sign (entrance N17) on the left hand side of the road. Access to the cottage is through the gate on your left hand side of the grid-gate.
