The Riviera on Vaal Hotel & Country Club, a Boutique Hotel, situated on the banks of the Vaal River only 45 minutes drive from Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa.
The course is situated along the banks of the magnificent Vaal River and forms part of the 5-star Riviera on Vaal Hotel & Country Club that offers stylish 5 star accommodation, comprehensively equipped conferencing, with attention to detail and service excellence in a peaceful and secure environment. The course is an 18-hole par 72 with a course rating of 71 for men and 70 for women. A flood-lit 9-hole par 3 Pitch and Putt course lies next to the 18th hole.
Taking in sweeping views of the Vaal River from the historic club house at sunset, designed by the legendary Sir Herbert Baker, is an experience to remember. Coupled with this is the warm hospitality and friendliness of the people of the Vaal Triangle, as well as our highly trained staff who cater to your every need.
The course itself boasts bent grass greens with Cynodan / Kikuya fairways and tees which are currently being upgraded without disruption to play. There are many different and unusual holes where the added feature of water attractions come into play.

Directions
Directions from OR Tambo airport:
- Drive out of the parking area and take R 24 Johannesburg (Keep right)
- At N3 split keep left and stay on N3
- Stay on the N3 Durban through the Goloolies interchange
- After the PPC cement factory take the N12 Vereeniging
- Pass Voortrekker road off ramp at Alberton
- Pass Redding Golf course and take R 59 Vereeniging / Alberton
- Take the Voortrekker Street off ramp off the R 59 Vereeniging
- Pass CTM (on your left)
- Pass underneath a railway bridge and at the next traffic light turn left (MacDonalds on your right hand side across the road, Yanky’s on your left)
- At next traffic light turn right into Mario Milani Drive (Excel Garage in front of you across the road)
- Turn left into the Riviera on Vaal Hotel – 3rd entrance after the road has narrowed past the Inyama grill house sign
- Go through the boom gate and find parking
- Reception is to your right when you come into the entrance hall.
