Wilderness Lagoon B&B - the perfect base for your Garden Route experience. Set against the splendour of the Outeniqua Mountains, washed by the warm waves of the Indian Ocean, the Wilderness National Park lies at the very heart of the Garden Route.
Here you will find a magical world of beaches, lakes, lagoons, rivers and forests that rivals any nature reserve in the world. An absolutely spectacular holiday destination, a place to restore your soul and revitalise your body and mind. World class golf courses on our doorstep are Fancourt, George Golf Course, Pinnacle Point Golf Estate and Oubaai Golf Course. Others are Pezula Golf Course and Simola Golf Course.
Nestled among the hills of Wilderness, our establishment was built in the early 1900`s and is one of the original homes in Wilderness. Wilderness Lagoon Bed and Breakfast offers you old-fashioned hospitality for which South Africa is famous and allows you the opportunity to rejuvenate in a beautiful and peaceful environment. The guestrooms are four rondawels (round dwellings), which lead into the dining area. Each room has a private entrance to the tranquil beauty of the garden. Our rooms are comfortably furnished, and have spacious en-suite bathrooms. Always be assured of fresh linen, towels & basic toiletries. All rooms are equipped with bar fridges, heaters, electrical blankets, fans and hairdryers. A cot, highchair and pram are also available on request.
Facilities include a full English breakfast with a continental buffet, fresh flowers, DSTV and daily cleaning. Additional services are a shuttle service to the airport and a secure parking area. The beach, restaurants and medical care are a five-minute walk away.

If you are seeking a holiday packed with adventure and excitement, Wilderness offers a wide range of activities, from water sports such as surfing, sailing, water-skiing, canoeing and fishing, to challenging climbs, hikes and paragliding.
Nothing can beat the excitement of seeing Africa`s Big Five! Wilderness Lagoon Bed and Breakfast has a close association with the game reserves in the area and can organise your game-viewing trip.For those who wish to unwind away from the stresses of daily life, there are gentler pursuits. This ecologically unique landscape is a haven for bird watchers seeking a glimpse of the brilliantly coloured Knysna Loerie, or the kingfishers indigenous to the area.
Wilderness Lagoon Bed and Breakfast is adjacent to The Boardwalk, which forms part of the Pied Kingfisher Trail and is home to a wide variety of birds which nest in the reeds of the Wilderness Lagoon.
Whales breed beyond the breakers at Dolphin`s Point, and from the Map of Africa there is a magnificent view of Kaaiman`s River Valley. Wander easily along the nature trails, take the opportunity to go horse riding or revisit the days of the steam train on the famous Outeniqua Choo Tjoe, as it meanders slowly between George and Knysna.
For total relaxation and indulgence, The Woodlands Wellness Centre & Spa is two steps away from Wilderness Lagoon Bed and Breakfast. Sink into the heated pool there, treat yourself to healing therapies, or have an appetising and nutritional meal at the health bar.
Fancourt, home to the President`s Cup 2003, is one of the many golf courses that makes The Garden Route a golfer`s paradise. If you wish to spend a day out and about, Wilderness Lagoon Bed and Breakfast will pack you a picnic basket - the 800-year-old Woodville Big Tree in nearby Hoekwil is a popular picnic spot.
There are wonderful restaurants in Wilderness, offering superb seafood, steak and vegetarian menus. Sample the cuisine of South Africa - try a traditional Cape Malay curry or an ostrich steak. Situated halfway between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth on the N2 national road, a mere 25 km from the George airport, Wilderness Lagoon B&B provides an ideal base from which to explore all that the Garden Route has to offer.

Directions
Our beautiful guesthouse is nestled between the hills of Wilderness. From Knysna on the N2 turn right to enter Wilderness village. From George on the N2 turn left to enter Wilderness village. Drive along the road, past the Protea Hotel Wilderness Resort. Turn right at the stop street (T-junction), into Waterside Road. The house, number 362, is situated on your left.
